To report an error on today's or tomorrow's Main Page, please add it to the appropriate section below.

  • Where is the error? An exact quote of all or part of the text in question will help.
  • Offer a correction if possible.
  • References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
  • Time zones: The current date and time is displayed in Coordinated Universal Time (13:13 on 13 April 2021), not adjusted to your local time zone.
  • Do not use {{edit fully-protected}}, which will not give you a faster response, and in fact causes problems if used here. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
  • Done? Once an error has been fixed, or has rotated off the Main Page, or has been acknowledged as not an error, the error report will be removed from this page; please check the page's history for discussion and action taken.
  • No chit-chat: Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere.
  • Can you fix the issue yourself? If the error is with the content of an article linked from the main page, consider attempting to fix the problem rather than reporting it here.

Errors with In the news

  • The results of the Nigerian election were announced (I believe) Wednesday. Its position on ITN (below the papal summit) suggest it was posted based on the date of the election itself (Saturday). Is this correct? GreatCaesarsGhost 12:35, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
Regardless of any technicalities, it seems clearly wrong that the re-election of Nigeria's president is scheduled to disappear before the Papal story (many would say non-story, and do say it, at both its nom and at the Cardinal Pell nom) that was known about days earlier, nominated days earlier, posted days earlier, is getting far fewer page views (and was doing so even while it had the advantage of being on ITN when the Nigerian story wasn't), and is thus presumably of far less interest to our readers, and is also not ITNR (unlike the Nigerian story). Incidentally there's also a good story-timing argument that the Nigerian story should be above the Academy Awards (tho at least there's a huge (tho rapidly declining) page views argument in favour of keeping the Academy Awards on top). Also incidentally, the Papal (non-)story is arguably also helping to keep the Cardinal Pell story from getting the consideration it would arguably normally deserve, at least judging by various comments at its nom, (so arguably the sooner the Papal item falls off the better). Tlhslobus (talk) 15:10, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
I have moved it up to Feb 27, the date of the result announcement.  — Amakuru (talk) 15:27, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
The article is then either wrong, or incomplete, and the whole blurb should be pulled. At no point in the entirety of the narrative is the 27 Feb date even mentioned once. If the article is that incomplete, it boggles the mind that anyone read it before agreeing it should be posted. Can someone please actually finish writing the article before we post it on the main page?!? --Jayron32 15:31, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
